Hayes Mansion at 200 Edenvale Avenue, San Jose, California.

I was there for a conference in April. The place is beautiful with well kept grounds. The catered conference food was surprisingly tasty! The staff were all extremely attentive and courteous. The bar was a little disappointing because it closed early and there are no wait staff. The bar was packed and there was only one bartender. The only reason this does not rate s five is because of the location. This place is in the middle of a somewhat sketchy neighborhood which looks like it's going through gentrification. There is a large park across the street but if you want to go out for dinner, you have to drive out quite a ways to find somewhere nice. There is a big mall very close by, and that was the only plus to the location. This looks like a lovely for weddings and I would definitely want to attend a conference there again.

Stayed here half a dozen times during business travel. Two times the jacuzzi was closed for repair. Now, both the pool and jacuzzi areas are closed.

It's an old, quaint location near a beautiful park. Being old, though, the rooms are small, the walls are thin, and in the morning, the shower temperature fluctuates to where your shower may take a third longer just to keep from scalding or freezing. I believe it's probably because of an old system that wasn't designed for large occupancies.

The breakfast buffet is good, with great service. Plenty of accessible parking. They sell out often, which can be tough if you want to switch to a quieter room.

I'm considering staying at a more modern hotel in the future as the reasons I mentioned above regarding the inconveniences of it being old.

We were here for a wedding and it was lovely! It was an indoor ceremony because there was a chance of rain. The ballroom with the reception was very nice. Music was great, food was yummy. I was surprised at the large portion of salmon I received. A great venue for a special day.
